Public Health Dental Clinic Anounces Staff Addition

The Wilkes Public Health Dental Clinic is proud to announce an addition to the Children’s Clinic Staff with the arrival of Dr. Daniel Williams, who joins Dr. Mona Curran in staffing the newly renovated children’s and adolescent treatment area.

Dr. Williams come to Wilkes from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He grew up in eastern North Carolina. He graduated from dental school in 2004 where he had a great deal of experience working with low-income families including children.

Also to join our facility in the adult clinic is Dr. Emily Ruda who joined the practice to get the clinic going. She comes to Wilkes from Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2004. She has a license in Kentucky, but is pursuing a North Carolina license. While in dental school, she worked in a public health clinic seeing indigent patients and really fell in love with this type of work.

The adult clinic offers general dentistry and preventive procedures including cleaning, deep scaling, fillings, extractions, some root canals, dentures, partials and some crowns.
