Sisters Deliver Babies at Wilkes Regional Medical Center

On Friday, April 29, 2011 a very special event occurred at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. It ended up not being a normal day of deliveries for Dr. Michele Polidoro. Dr. Michele Polidoro delivered the babies of two sisters who had no idea they would be delivering on the same day. Sisters Autumn Balf and Courtney Lefler not only delivered on the same day but only three and half hours apart and both little girls. The sister's said, "Not only did we deliver on the same day, we also found out that we were both having girls on the same day." Salem Elizabeth Balf, the daughter of Autumn and Austin Balf was born at 4:16 p.m. MaKinley Faith Johnson, the daughter of Courtney Lefler and Dustin Johnson was born at 7:46 p.m.
