Paul Barlow Presented with 2007 Engineer of the Year Award

Paul Barlow was presented with the 2007 Engineer of the Year award by the North Carolina Healthcare Engineers Association (NCHEA) on July 21, 2007 in Asheville, North Carolina. Each year the NCHEA presents an award to a healthcare engineer in North Carolina. This year several healthcare engineers were nominated by their peers for this prestigious recognition. Paul Barlow, from Wilkes Regional Medical Center, was one of those nominees and was awarded this prestigious honor.

Paul Barlow has been a member of the NCHEA since 1980. He became a Certified Healthcare Engineer in 1992 and has 34 years of health care facility maintenance and management experience. For twenty-seven of those years, Paul has been the Director of Engineering at Wilkes Regional Medical Center and has seen the hospital double in size. His department delivers services to not only to Wilkes Regional Medical Centers main facility, but all of the off site facilities as well.
