FIRST ARRIVAL OF THE YEAR-Deandra Jade Walker was the first arrival of the new year at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. The daughter of Tosha Nicole Walker (holding her daughter) and Eric Wayne Walker (standing, left) of Airport Road, North Wilkesboro, she was delivered at 4:21 Tuesday morning by Dr. Michael Blackwell (standing, right). Deandra, who was due on Jan. 15, weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce, and measured 19-1/4 inches in length. Also pictured is Deandra's big brother, Tryston James Walker, age 4.
